Booking

How do I book a transfer or an excursion?

Choose a package, enter the date and number of travellers, then tap Book: all you need to give is your name and phone number. For a transfer, you can also fill in the Airport & city-to-city transfers form or message us directly on WhatsApp. Our team confirms your booking within 24 hours.

How do I know my booking is confirmed?

After your request, you can download your ticket with a QR code. By scanning it (or opening the tracking link), you can see the status of your booking: pending, confirmed or completed. Our team also contacts you on WhatsApp or by phone to confirm the details.

How far in advance should I book?

As soon as you know your dates. We also accept last-minute requests depending on availability, but in spring, summer and over the Christmas and New Year holidays it is best to book several days ahead.

Can I book for someone else?

Yes. Just give the name and phone number of the lead traveller, so that the driver can reach them on the day.

Do you offer tailor-made tours?

Yes. Tell us the cities you would like to see, your dates and the number of travellers: we will send you an itinerary and a price within 24 hours. The easiest way is to message us on WhatsApp.

Prices and payment

Are your prices per person or per vehicle?

Our private transfers and excursions are priced per vehicle, for 1 to 7 passengers: for example €20 for the Marrakech-Menara airport transfer, €130 for the excursion to Imlil or the Ourika valley. The unit is shown next to each price (“/vehicle” or “/pers.”). A vehicle with driver over several days is quoted on request.

What is included in the price?

The driver, the air-conditioned vehicle, fuel, tolls and water on board. Not included, unless stated otherwise on the package: meals, monument tickets, optional activities (camel, quad…) and tips.

How does payment work?

There is no online payment on the website for now: you send a booking request, then our team confirms the price and payment terms by WhatsApp or phone.

Are there any extra charges?

No. The price confirmed by our team is the final price: waiting in case of flight delay and child seats are free of charge. Only the options you choose yourself (activities, meals) are extra.

Is tipping compulsory?

No, it is never compulsory. In Morocco, tipping the driver or guide is an appreciated custom if you are happy with the service.

Airport transfers

Where does the driver wait for me at the airport?

In the arrivals hall, with a sign bearing your name. They help you with your luggage and drive you straight to your hotel or riad.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track your flight using the number you give us: your driver adjusts their arrival time and waits for you, at no extra cost.

Which airports do you serve?

Marrakech-Menara, Casablanca Mohammed V, Tangier Ibn Battouta, Fez-Saïss, Rabat-Salé, Essaouira-Mogador and Ouarzazate.

Do you do transfers at night and at weekends?

Yes, our transfers are available 24/7, including for very early morning or late evening flights.

Do you offer city-to-city transfers?

Yes: Casablanca → Marrakech, Marrakech → Essaouira, Marrakech → Agadir, Tangier → Chefchaouen, Fez → Chefchaouen… and any route in Morocco on request. Use the “City to city” tab of the transfer form.

What information do I need to give for a transfer?

Your flight number, arrival date and time, the name of your hotel or riad, and the number of passengers and pieces of luggage. If you are travelling with children, give their ages for the child seats.

My riad is in the medina: can the driver drop me there?

Cars cannot enter the narrow streets of the medina. The driver drops you at the nearest accessible point to your riad; many riads send someone to meet you and carry your luggage. Give us the name of the riad and we will take care of the arrangements.

Excursions and tours

Are the excursions private?

Yes. The vehicle and driver are reserved for your group only: no strangers on board, and the pace adapts to you.

What time do the excursions leave?

Most leave in the morning, between 7 and 9 am, with pick-up at your hotel or riad. The Agafay desert excursion leaves in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset.

Does the driver also act as a guide?

Our drivers know the region well and are happy to share their tips on the way. For some visits a local guide is included (hike in Imlil, Setti Fatma waterfalls): this is stated in the programme of each package.

Can we change the programme on the way?

Photo stops and breaks are made whenever you like. For a completely free programme, choose our private driver for the day: you decide the stops.

Do I need to be fit for the hikes?

No. The hikes in Imlil and the Ourika valley are suitable for anyone in good health; the guide adapts the route to your pace. Bring good shoes.

What should I bring on an excursion?

Good shoes, sun cream, sunglasses and some cash for meals and shopping. In the Atlas and the desert the evenings are cool: bring a jacket, especially in winter.

Vehicles and drivers

Which vehicles do you use?

Air-conditioned Mercedes Vito (up to 7 passengers) for transfers and excursions, and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 4x4 for desert and Atlas tracks.

How many passengers and bags per vehicle?

Up to 7 passengers, each with one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage. For bulky items (surfboard, golf bag, bicycle, pushchair), let us know when booking.

There are more than 7 of us: what should we do?

We provide several vehicles that travel together. Message us to get a price for your group.

Which languages do your drivers speak?

French, Arabic and English. Spanish is possible on request.

Do you have child seats?

Yes, child seats and boosters are free on request. Give the children’s ages when booking.

Cancellation and changes

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure. Let us know on WhatsApp or by phone, quoting your booking reference.

How do I change the date or time?

Message us on WhatsApp with your booking reference (shown on your ticket). We change your booking subject to availability.

What happens in bad weather?

If the weather makes a road dangerous (snow in the Atlas, heavy rain), we offer you another date or another excursion. Your safety comes first.

Travelling in Morocco

When is the best time to visit Morocco?

Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are the most pleasant everywhere. Summer is very hot in Marrakech and the desert, but mild on the coast (Essaouira, Agadir). In winter the days are sunny, but the nights are cold in the Atlas and the desert.

Do I need a visa to visit Morocco?

Nationals of many countries, including the UK, the EU, the USA and Canada, do not need a visa for a tourist stay of less than 90 days: a valid passport is enough. Check the requirements for your nationality with the Moroccan consulate before you travel.

What currency is used in Morocco?

The Moroccan dirham (MAD). You get it locally: exchange offices at the airport, banks and cash machines, which are plentiful in the cities. Keep some cash for the souks, small restaurants and tips.

How can I reach you during my trip?

By phone or WhatsApp at +212 6 44 59 32 26, 7 days a week, or by email at contact@bensalemways.com.
